Artemisia begon als jong meisje met buikdansen. Vandaag is zij een gepassioneerde en toegewijde professionele danseres en lerares, die zowel het meer klassieke repertoire als moderne popsongs uit haar heupen tovert. Zij volgde jaren les bij dansdocenten in binnen- en buitenland, en blijft zich voortdurend bijscholen, op zoek naar steeds nieuwe inspiratie voor haar eigen interpretatie van deze oeroude, en zich toch nog altijd vernieuwende dansvorm. Buikdansen is voor haar vrolijk, vrouwelijk, passioneel en sensueel, artistiek én entertainend.
Artemisia heeft de artistieke en praktische leiding over dansgroep (e)motion. Zij choreografeert de groepsnummers, geeft vorm aan de shows en treedt eveneens solo op, voor private feesten, maar ook voor buikdansevenementen in binnen- en buitenland. Zij geeft buikdanslessen en workshops voor beginners, half-gevorderden en gevorderden.

Artemisia is an international performer and teacher, based in Belgium where she runs dance school (e)motion, offering bellydance classes to hundreds of students of all levels. Having started her dance career early in life, she went on to study with international Master Teachers, such as award winning American dancer Aziza, who she continues to study with. Artemisia's performances are full of joy and fun, passion and soul, and audiences around the globe (Germany, United Kingdom, Italy, Iceland, South Africa,...) especially appreciate her magic with the silk veil and her sense of humour. She has taught succesfull workshops at belly dance festivals Europe-wide and has appeared on Belgian, Dutch and Icelandic television, and on professional belly dance DVDs. Workshop participants have described her as an enthusiastic, warm and encouraging teacher, who loves to share her passion and knowledge, combining technical expertise with a great sense of introducting students to communication and creativity in dance.
